"I think we're far enough already. Nobody will be able to see or hear you here. [...] It's not a trap. I am Adek, son of Ehok and Asha of the Scum of the North... The Resistance is expecting you. Come on, I'll take you to a safe place... Your equipment's there, Bloodjaw."

Adek is a foreman in the Mire supervising the imprisoned orcs, working directly under Head Foreman Gorkash and the Imperial Guard. He is also a key member of the Resistance, providing Arkail and Styx access to their weapon reserve and asking them for assistance a few times. He is able to communicate with the Resistance's human beneficiary Barimen and fights alongside Marhlok in the front row of their revolts against their suppressors.

Personality

Adek is well-spoken and well-mannered. He is always calm, reasonable and pragmatic in his approaches to the problems the Resistance faces. He knows very well the role he plays in this conflict and is willing to do his part for the greater good of their endeavor..

First Contact with the Resistance

Arkail and Styx meet Adek for the first time after they win the Row. Gorkash asks Adek to take the two to the cleaning quarters. Instead of taking them to the location specified, he leads them to a secluded area to reveal himself as the Resistance. He provides his clan and parent's names to proof he has honorable intentions. Arkail recognises that and they follow him into the Resistance hideout.

Meeting Barimen

Adek contacts Barimen to arrange a meeting between all key players in this plan. With Barimen's help, Adek was able to prepare the Resistance well enough to allow the suggested plan to go ahead. He will organise a revolt at the base of the Inquisition's tower to allow Arkail and Styx the time to get Arkence out of there. Before they can start with further preparations, it is important that the Head Foreman Gorkash is being removed. Adek send them on the right way and warns them about the protection Gorkash has likely errected around him.

The Revolting Miners

After Arkail's victory in the Row, some miners started to protest and attract unwanted attention from the guards, demanding to see Arkail. Adek wants to keep the situation in the Mire conflict free until the actual revolt and asks Arkail if he couldn't go and calm them down. After Arkail has spoken to them, Adek will go and help them cover up the deaths of the Imperial Guards as accidents.

The Assassination of the Imperial Guard

Adek approaches Styx to see if he was willing to do them a favour. It would be best to eliminate any support from the guards in the barracks during the revolt. Any man unable to report what is going on down there is an advantage in their cause. Adek could use their gold to bribe them, but would prefer to get more weapons with it. And since an Orc wouldn't be able to silently go into the barrack and silently emerge again, he turns to Styx. The goblin agrees provided Adek can tell Barimen that Styx wishes to talk about a little bonus for this extra work.

The Remaining Foremen

After Arkail takes over the Mire as the new Head Foreman, some foremen loyal to Gorkash hide themselves in the mines. Adek would like those to be taken care of before they start the revolt, as they would make their work all the more complex.

  • If Arkail kills them all, Adek thanks Arkail for the work done, sorting all those traitors out.
  • If Arkail let's Dakath live and bring him into the Resistance, Adek is grateful but adds that be believes Dakath's merciful treatment was better than he deserved.

The revolt

When it is time to begin the revolt, Adek takes his place by the draw bridge. Once it is lowered he joins Arkail and Styx at the base level of the Inquisition's tower. As they two disappear to get Arkence, Adek holds the line with his brethren to fend off any Imperial Guard.

When Arkail and Styx return with Arkence, Adek gives them a report on how the revolt is going. He then wishes Arkail good luck and returns to the others.

The Second revolt

Adek survives the rest of the battle but has to hide with a couple others in an abandoned area of the Mire. He is ready to rise the entire Mire once more and get every single orc out of there when Arkail returns for the finale of the game.
